Sabudana Khichdi Recipe for Babies and Kids

Ingredients
  • Sabudana- 1 cup
  • Potato – 1 small (cut into small pieces)
  • Cumin seeds- 1 teaspoon
  • Groundnuts (crushed) - ½ cup
  • Salt- a pinch (optional)
  • Sugar- a pinch (optional)
  • Coriander powder- a pinch
  • Oil – to shallow fry potatoes
Instructions
  1. Wash sabudana and drain excess water. Soak sabudana in water overnight so that it turns soft. Check its softness by pressing sago with your fingers.
  2. Drain the soaked sabudana to remove the excess water.
  3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan and add cumin seeds.
  4. Add chopped potatoes and mix.
  5. Once potatoes get cooked, mix well. Let the mixture cook for a few more minutes.
  6. Add soaked and drained sabudana. Also dry powders. Mix all the ingredients properly and let sabudana cook for a few minutes.
  7. Stir sabudana khichadi at 6 to 7 minutes interval till it turns semi transparent and gets cooked.
